From May 31 to June 7, 2026, OLIVIO&CO opened its first Paris pop-up at mmatters gallery, 2 rue de Commines, Paris 3ᵉ, in the heart of Le Marais. It was the first stop of our European chapter: an immersive celebration of eyewear, creativity and the art of living, rooted in Mediterranean light, travel and childhood imagination. Thank you to everyone who came.

Curiosity under the Sun
The pop-up was the first physical expression of Curiosity under the Sun, our creative direction shaped by Artistic Director Dilara Kan Hon, who joined OLIVIO&CO in 2026 after years of collaboration through Studio Yellowdot.
It is a sun-washed visual language drawn from Mediterranean architecture, landscapes and travel memories: muted terracotta, sea, stone, olive green and faded summer light, paired with wood, stone, canvas and papier-mâché.
"Children naturally see the world with curiosity, imagination and freedom. We wanted to extend that spirit into a creative universe through objects, spaces and experiences that invite families to see the world differently, together, under the sun."
Dilara Kan Hon, Artistic Director

A week at mmatters gallery
For seven days we made our home at mmatters gallery, a space of natural materials, handcrafted displays and collected objects. Studio Yellowdot, our creative partner since 2018, shaped the displays alongside Dilara: white papier-mâché totems, sculptural plinths in cream and ochre, and the wavy motifs that have become a brand signature.

Eyewear for families: kids, and a new chapter for adults
OLIVIO&CO was founded in Shanghai and has sold over one million pairs of eyewear. In Paris we showed our full kids' collection, sized by age with 100% UV protection, alongside a growing range of sport and outdoor eyewear for adults.

The Breakfast Art Club
Throughout the week the pop-up doubled as a creative playground: the Breakfast Art Club, hands-on workshops for kids and families built around the season's Mediterranean motifs (sun, coral, sunglasses, hands, fish). On our Press Day, June 3, Paris-based artist and designer Emile Kirsch led a workshop and object and tableware designer Edetri presented an edible installation.

Why we did it
Most people meet OLIVIO&CO online. The pop-up let the frames live in people's hands and put faces to the team. It was the start of an ongoing dialogue with local and international creatives as we grow across Europe.
